Topics covered include the weight of risk, factors to be considered when selecting contract types, and guidance for selecting a contract type appropriate to the circumstances of the acquisition.

A deep-dive into FAR Parts 10,11, and 12. This course delves into what is a commercial item. We discuss commerciality of nongovernmental and commercial off-the-shelf items.  Teaches the student to consider all aspects of when, where and how an item is used, and if it meets the government’s requirements.  There are in-depth discussions on modifications of commercial items.
